Büşra Kayıkçı
Büşra Kayıkçı is a multidisciplinary Turkish artist based in Istanbul. She began her career working on minimalist and neoclassical compositions for piano and electronics after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in interior architecture and environmental design. Alongside this, she produced watercolour paintings in her own style. Kayıkçı released her first single, ‘Doğum’, in 2019, which was featured in a modern dance show at the New York Theatre Ballet and was mentioned in The New York Times magazine. ‘Eskizler,’ her debut album, was released in November 2019, and her other single, ‘Kuledibi No.1’, was also recommended by The Wall Street Journal on an article about her hometown Istanbul. Kayıkçı released a piece named ‘Bring The Light’ in 2021, on the iconic classical German label Deutsche Grammophon, and in 2022, she was signed by Manners McDade, a London-based publisher, alongside famous composers. Kayıkçı is currently studying watercolour and composition in her Istanbul-based art studio.
