Description
Samar Farooq is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, who was first inspired to learn the art of calligraphy during the lockdown in the pandemic, which sparked her passion for Islamic arts. She decided to embark on this journey with little knowledge of Islamic arts at the start, not realising how engrossed she would become in this world of art.
Currently, Farooq is studying Kufic calligraphy with Moroccan master calligrapher Mohammad AbuZaid. She also runs a small family business called Salmolherbal and regularly donates her artwork to charities.
